4.2 Clone Stamp

In this activity I altered 3 images using photoshop.

I used tools such as clone stamp, brushes, layers, opacity, and the transform tool.

In this activity I used layers that I could add/subtract elements to the image I had without permanently changing the original.

In clone stamp I learned how to use the square bracket keys to change the sizes of the brush I was working with, I also learned about feathering brushes so that when I added things to an image they blended in a bit better and looked less out of place. In addition to feathering my brushes I also learned and used opacity in this project so that I could add details to my image, by making the opacity lower,  without making it too solid and disrupting the final look of the image.

I also learned how to use the transform tool which allows you to make changes to the size, orientation, distort, etc. to an image. This tool came in handy when I had to create another starfish in the final image, I used the transform tool make the size of the starfish different so that perspective would be more accurate and so that it created variation in the starfish and looked more natural and less like a duplicate that was inserted.

The final tool I used was the eraser tool, when I would add an element to my image there would be other parts of the picture attached to it which made it look a little awkward and unnatural, so to make it blend in better I used the eraser tool to take away the parts that I didn't want so I was left with only the pixels that made up the starfish or mushroom and no extras, this made it easier to add these to the image without it looking fake.
