3.3.1 Logo of Letters
In this activity we used illustrator to create logos using the type tool. We learned how to turn the type from type into outlines, with this skill I used it and applied it to alter the shape/make up of the letters I was working with to make them fit together better and make them look more put together and less awkward. When I was creating the logos I made sure to keep with the theme of the font being used, for example if I was working with a geometric type I made sure to keep the adjustments to the type very straight and blocky rather than scripty so that there is a natural flow to the final product. Same thing for the more script or curved fonts, for these I used the pen tool to make custom shapes that I could use in the logo to make it look natural, clean and finished. I used tools such as shape builder and path finder to cut away the parts I didn't want and make the finished logos. I then exported a .PNG and took a screenshot of the outlines as seen bellow.
